Happy New Year and welcome 2026! We are looking forward to another year of enjoyment, learning, interaction and play - everything that is bridge. 

Games resume 6 January. This year we offer 3 sessions per week: Tuesday and Saturday Duplicate (12:15 for 12:30pm start) as well as Thursday Duplicate/ supervised play (8:45 for 9am start). And a lot of special events are included - check out your book or this website and enter.

Last week our club rounded off a hectic year with a delicious lunch, followed by Christmas cake and bubbly back at our new abode (and a merry game of bridge thereafter). We congratulate our award winners for 2024: Julia Collins for Most Improved Player under 100MPs, and Bronwyn Boehm for the Neville Farrell Trophy. 

It is with great sadness that I share the news of Neville Farrell's passing on 2nd December 2024.  The message was received from Megan James .  She was unsure if there will be a funeral.

As of 27 November 2024, Taree Bridge Club will conduct all of its games and lessons at our new venue alongside the Manning Entertainment Centre (MEC).

A great afternoon of bubbly, beauties and bridge was enjoyed this week. Thanks to our lovely committee for the sweeps and goodies. And the fun!

Last month we celebrated the 90th birthday of one of most treasured members, Dawn Calvin. The good wishes were accompanied by a beautiful cake. We wish Dawn many more happy days like this one.

Our directors have requested that, if you know you are going to be unavailable to play in a future game, please write it in the book for that day. And if you're unable to get to the clubhouse to do that, please contact Lynne for Saturday games on 0406 247 617 or Jenni on 0459 239 380 for Tuesday games. Recently, our members celebrated 44 years of the Taree Bridge Club with a cake and a small speech - a brief history if our wonderful club - by Judy Scott (pictured and summarised below):

As the original 2024 Mary Hunter Pairs game in April 2024 was negated, the event has now been rescheduled for Tuesday 2 July 2024. Pairs will need to register again (via the clubhouse book or online above) but table fees for those who attended in April carry over to this game, i.e. are free for previous participants.
