Carol Wood Novice Tournament

Sunday, 26 April saw our Club host its inaugural Carol Wood Novice Tournament for players with less than 20MPs.

It was an exciting day as we hosted 34 participants from Taree, Great Lakes, Camden Haven and Port Macquarie. All those taking part were focused and showed just how much they have already learned about the game and bridge etiquette. We ran a Mitchell movement in the morning followed by an Integrated Howell after lunch.

MORNING MITCHELL

1st - N/S - Colleen D'Silva/Bronwyn Williams (Great Lakes)

2nd - N/S - John Darwin/John Jenkins (Taree)

3rd - N/S - Kim Ryder/Fares Samara (Port Macquarie)

1st - E/W - Steve & Ann Taylor (Taree)

2nd - E/W - Matt Etherington/Louise Cuthbert (Taree/Great Lakes)

3rd - E/W - Robyn Pirker/Geoff Reay (Camden Haven/Taree) 

INTEGRATED HOWELL

1st Place - $100 prize - Kim Ryder & Fares Samara  (Port Macquarie)

2nd Place - $60 prize - Christina Attard & Lynne Fairhall (Taree)

3rd Place - $40 prize - Colleen Johns & Rosemary Ruprecht (Taree)

A very big THANK YOU to everyone who worked so hard to make the day a great success, particularly Lynne Fairhall, Steve and Ann Taylor, Maretta Callow, Lynda Edge, Dawn Calvin and Robyn O'Hara.  

We are already starting to plan a Novice Teams event for later in the year!
