2025 Annual Awards and Christmas Party

Last week saw a large crowd of merry members celebrate another successful year with an awards ceremony, a beautiful Christmas feast next door and a jovial game of bridge afterwards. Sue Eishauer began proceedings by announcing the committee's decision to rename several annual awards. Congratulations to the winners:

• Judy Scott Restricted Pairs Championship Trophy: N/S – Garry Coleman & Lesley Kelly; E/W – Jill Bicknell and Ruth Wrigley
• Most Improved Player under 100MPs: Julia Collins
• Neville Farrell Trophy: Terry Bodycote
• Dawn Calvin Trophy: Lynne Fairhall

Awards earned during the year (therefore previously presented) included:

• Taree Pairs – Jill &Karl Buchmann
• Mary Hunter Trophy (renamed the Pauline Erby trophy) – Pauline Erby & Bev Daniel
• Swiss Teams Championship & GNOTs – Terry Bodycote, Sue Eishauer, Jill & Karl Buchmann
• David McAdam Trophy, Manning Pairs & Club Championship Pairs – Terry Bodycote & Sue Eishauer

A string of thank-you presentations followed - a testament to the many members who devote their time and energy into making our club a happy thriving place to meet and play bridge.
